My cousin Abby married Matt on 11/13 in Lexington, KY and I was lucky enough to be chosen as their photographer. It was so much fun – really, you haven’t lived until you’ve seen your grandmother dancing to ‘Bust A Move’. The ceremony and reception were at the historic Bell House in downtown Lexington – a beautiful old house with a reputation for being haunted. We didn’t end up seeing the ghost, although the brother of the groom had us all going for a while with the ‘Ghost Camera’ app on his iPhone. This same gentleman also cracked us all up with a heartfelt rendition of ‘(You Make Me Feel Like A) Natural Woman’ serenade to his brother. Not to mention one of the best Michael Jackson impersonations I’ve ever ever seen. I was laughing so hard I couldn’t hold steady enough to shoot.

Stay tuned for a post from our awesome day-after session around Lexington – we got some amazing stuff from all over town!
Thanks to the vendors who made it all happen – the Bell House, Eric DeBusschere at Fresh Beats, South Van Events for the amazing food and Suzanne Bauer at Fleur de Lys Designs for the beautiful flowers!
