Earlier this month I got to travel to Lexington, KY to shoot Matt & Abby’s wedding. It was my first family wedding (Abby is my cousin) and everything went sooo smoothly and it was really fun to shoot with so much family around. Since it was a night time ceremony we planned to do a day after shoot around Lexington and I’m so glad we did – it was so much fun and we got a ton of great stuff.
We started off at the Lexington cemetery -

After the cemetery we went back to the Bell House, which is where the ceremony and reception were held.

Matt is a firefighter, and after we finished up at the Bell House we stopped by the oldest firehouse in Lexington (built in 1904 I think? Matt, please correct me if I’m wrong!) for a few before heading to Matt’s station as our final stop. The guys at the first firehouse were out on a call, but were able to open the door by radio via the dispatch office. How cool is that?

Congratulations to Abby & Matt and best of luck in everything! Matt, welcome to the family and thank you both so much for having me at your wedding, I had a great time!

Kris - More great shots. I especially like the one in the firehouse, holding hands in the twig chairs. Oh and the back-to-back shot in the cemetery. But then there’s the Big Kiss at the doors of the old firehouse, and the one with Matt in his gear . . .
Philadelphia Wedding Photographer - I love the shots. Great concept too. Very creative, good job.
