Leah & I have been best friends since high school. We actually met in 8th grade on a ski trip, but didn’t really start to hang out a lot until freshman year when we were both sax players in the band (yes, I was a band geek. It was awesome.). Having come from a really small middle school (8th grade class = 11 people), it was a bit of a struggle to break into some of the cliques that had formed in the other schools but Leah seemed to know everyone. There was never the question of who to go out with, just the question of what we would do once we got out.
If I say much more I may begin to incriminate us, so I’ll move on to the photos.
Leah and Eric got engaged this fall and I’m sooooo happy for the both of them! It’s so wonderful to see Leah with such a great guy – he’s nice, sweet, cute, funny…plus he’ll do pretty much anything Leah asks him to. Eric, I hope you know what you’re getting into. She’s not kidding about that pony.
While I was home over the holidays we did a quick engagement shoot in the park across the street from Leah’s house. Eric didn’t get off work until 5 so it was pretty much full dark when we got over there but we had a great time playing with some off camera flash and street lights. Some of my favorites -

Betsy - Love your bokeh on the ring shots. And your jewel collection!
katy - Thanks Betsy! The jewelry collection was Leah’s grandmother’s – she had a TON of costume jewelry. Leah is actually going to use a bunch of it as her bouquet, I can’t wait to see it!
Leah - Thanks my Katy!
