When I went back to school in 2001 to get my photo degree I had no idea what I was going to do once I got it. All I knew was that I loved taking pictures, and after some urging from my friends I quit my job, moved to Bozeman, and started school. It was a fantastic opportunity to completely immerse myself in photography for three and a half years – when else do you get that sort of chance? After I graduated I moved back down to Jackson and got a job, all the while wondering what I should be doing with this fancy pantsy degree.
Then I got married. And saw our photos from Jonathan. And was totally blown away and excited and really really wanted to find out more about shooting weddings. So I pestered poor Jonathan incessantly until he relented and let me come along to a few weddings with him.
I was smitten. The energy, the excitement, the emotion…I can’t think of another good noun that starts with ‘E’ but you get where I’m going.
After shooting with Jonathan I started learning everything I could and practicing on anyone who would let me. The more I learned, the more I knew that shooting weddings was what I wanted to do more than anything. Send me an email and let’s talk about your wedding day!
