lava hot springs

Way back in May (waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in May, because you know it was SO LONG AGO) we took a trip to Lava Hot Springs, ID as a Mother’s Day excursion. While the weather wasn’t exactly cooperative, we had a great time and were able to do some good wandering around. And actually, sitting in hot…

Dick - I want that Caribou sign!

katy - I know! There were a ton of great old motel signs on the way, I was loving it.

kisa koenig - Looks awesome…and old. I’ll be going in Sept. for the first time. The boy is getting so big!

katy - it’s really kind of a neat place – I’d like to go back when the big waterslide is open!

Kris - What a sweet family.
You must have enough motel sign photos for an exhibit or a book by now.

Leah - I would like your earrings please.

katy - Mom – I probably do, it’s just a matter of collecting them! I’m not very good about putting them in their own place.

Pants – I got them at a street fair here in Jackson, aren’t they great? I want 17 more just like them in different colors.

Cheek to Chic - Gorgeous photos, they are so beautiful!

salt lake city

Last weekend we took a quick road trip down to Salt Lake City, UT to do some shopping and head for that Holy Grail of home furnishings, Ikea.  We had a great time – got a fabulous hotel within walking distance of the Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum and fantastic shopping and restaurants.  It’s always so…

Dick - Those trees remind me of the trees called Hong Kong Orchids that we see in Florida but I don’t know if that is what they are. Nice pics.

Kris - Looks like a very nice getaway weekend. I’m jealous of the spring weather.

katy - ha, me too – it snowed here again today. yuk-o-matic.

Jenna - I think it’s a dogwood tree! I asked someone about them in MI last year and that’s what they told me. Not positive though :)

katy - Thanks Jenna!

bear lake

Back in September we took a trip down to Bear Lake, UT with Nate’s parents.  I’ve got tons of photos of the family on the beach and out and about, but here are some people-free images I got on the way.  For those of you who want all Milo, all the time; don’t worry, there…

Kris - Beautiful series. Are you tilt-shifting?

katy - yup. i think most if not all of these are with the tilty shifty (as nate likes to call it).

thermopolis two

Part two of our road trip to Thermopolis, WY. Milo found a trike at an antique store sidewalk sale.  He was taking it whether we paid for it or not. Downtown Thermopolis & around town. Nate got these of Moo during a chocolate interlude. At the Hot Springs State Park.

Dick - Proving once again that the guy with the cool red wheels gets the girl.

Seattle Wedding Photographer Mastin Studio - I really enjoyed this set. It makes me long for vacation and for my new baby to be born. Gorgeous pictures!

Kris - Oh my god! those shots with the bike are GREAT! He looks so cool & nonchalant. “Yeah, I bike.”
Fun to see Milo in his ranger vest.
Of course I like the other photos, but I can’t help zeroing in on the kid.

katy - Oh yes, he was alllll about the vest. Wore it all day until dinner, when it was rendered unwearable without laundering.

He’s totally a biker. He just lets the bike do all the work, that’s his secret.
