Welcome to the blog!

Holy cow, it's a new blog post!

Sooo...this here represents an effort on my part to turn over a new blog related leaf. I want to share all these amazing weddings with you but have been absolutely terrible about blogging. So terrible that I think it's been two years? TWO YEARS. That's half of my youngest kid. Dang.

So in an attempt to remedy that, I'm adding blogging to my workflow for all of my weddings this spring and summer and I'm going to put it on the schedule for Fridays and actually DO IT. My extremely belated 2016 resolution.

And since we can't have a blog post without any photos....here's a little of what I've been up to lately.

Here's to getting stuff done this year, hallelujah!!

Sara & Adam // Jackson Hole wedding photographer

I love this wedding so much. Adam and Sara are both such wonderful people - laid back, fun to be around, and half of them could defuse a bomb if the situation called for it. They met on Match.com in the Chicago area and it just worked. Adam proposed and they decided on Jackson (their eventual retirement dream location - these two are definitely planners!) for the wedding and I'm so glad that they did.

Some favorites...

Sara did a first look with her dad and it was seriously the sweetest thing ever. I cried.

Adam & Jodie // Jackson Hole proposal photographer

Last summer I got an email from Adam with a unique idea - he wanted to propose to his wife of 20 years. Err...what? Turns out they were super young when they first got married and couldn't afford an engagement ring. It wasn't anything Jodie asked for, but he thought it would be the best anniversary present he could give her. We met up at Mormon Row on the pretense of doing a regular portrait shoot as their anniversary present and about halfway through he got down on one knee.

Aren't they cute? I love this shot.

Jodie was absolutely stunned. Who expects an engagement ring when you're already married? Huge props to Adam for thinking of it and making it happen!

The only issue was Jodie couldn't stop laughing and crying after he proposed. It's a good problem to have.

Thanks so much for looking and please feel free to leave a comment!

Lindsey & Eric // Chico Hot Springs wedding photographer

Lindsey is a fabulous wedding planner here in Jackson (although recently relocated to Napa, boo!!!!) who wanted to have her wedding out of the valley - totally understandable, once you plan weddings in Jackson Hole for a living it makes sense to want something different for your own. She and her fiance Eric (Dino to friends and family) settled on Chico Hot Springs for its great food, relaxed ambiance and of course the beautiful Montana scenery.

Some of my favorites from their day -

How GORGEOUS is this dress? The details are amazing and Lindsey totally rocked it.

Such a cute card from Lindsey to Dino - I got to be the mail carrier. :)

I love that Lindsey had her girls in white, such a great idea!

Their dog Pinky totally stole the show.

The wedding site is up the hill a bit from the condo area and is aptly named The Field of Dreams. Beautiful!

Love that Lindsey walked herself down the aisle - you go girl!

Why yes, I DID make them climb a mountain for me. Worth it though, yes? :)

They're so cute!!

Eric worked at a cigar shop in Jackson and had the party fully stocked.

Oh....hello mustachio'd unicorn. I didn't see you there.

Huge thanks to Lindsey & Dino for including me in their big day - I had a blast! Best of luck in Napa - we'll miss you around here!

Bayer Family // Jackson Hole family photographer

Terran, Greg & Roxy passed through Jackson on their fall vacation road trip through the national parks and contacted me for a family session on their way through. We had a great time even though it didn't occur to me that OF COURSE Mormon Row was going to be full of scenery and wildlife shooters at 8 am on a sunny morning. Whoops! We headed up towards Shadow Mountain and got this amazing fog with the sun coming through, how cool is that?

Being the child of a  photographer (check out Terran's work here - she's amazing!!!) Roxy was fantastically well behaved and Terran had tons of great advice on getting dogs to pay attention (Treats. The answer is treats) when you're trying to get them to pose for you.

Some favorites (pls disregard the weird watermark - black text doesn't work so well. I was experimenting as I was waiting for my new site to go live) -

Ok, so crouch, then lean in and kiss....whoops. :P

I just love the colors and the light in these, and how fabulous is Terran's coat? Majorly jealous.

We managed to make it back over to the barns after most of the scenery photographers had finished up for the morning. Good mountains that day!! :)

I love both of these, aren't they so cute?

What a good girl!!

Thanks so much for getting in touch and hiring me for your family photos - I had a fantastic time and it was so nice to meet you all!!
